Position Title: Engineering Technician IV

Role Summary:

This position supports the Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning & Procurement (SUBMEPP) facility, focusing on Maintenance Planning and Engineering Analysis (MPEA). The Engineering Technician IV will be instrumental in reviewing Technical Work Documents (TWDs) from ongoing CNO Availabilities to ensure that the maintenance performed meets the standards and requirements set forth by SUBMEPP in each Availability Work Package (AWP).

Work Environment:

This is an onsite role, requiring in-person collaboration at a Patrona or customer site.

Compensation Structure:

At Patrona Corporation, salary is influenced by various factors, including location, individual qualifications, and contract-specific requirements. The displayed salary range or hourly rate is indicative of the typical compensation for this role and is part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, technical school graduate, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Recent experience in shipyard submarine availability maintenance, with familiarity in availability work packages and tracking metrics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in submarine maintenance planning or execution.
  • Proficient in Advanced Industrial Management (WEB AIM), Maintenance & Ship Work Planning (M&SWP), and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in file management and data entry for submarine maintenance scheduling and historical records.
  • Understanding of submarine overhauls, including Maintenance Standards (MS), Unrestricted Operation-Maintenance Requirement Card (URO-MRC), and basic Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) submarine systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of TWDs to ensure proper scheduling credit for planned tasks.
  • Identify all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance completed during submarine availability.
  • Edit and review various reports, ensuring accurate documentation for Maintenance Standard (MS) work related to submarine availability scheduling.
  • Update the scheduling system with relevant information.
  • Provide real-time data and insights to engineering teams.
  • Maintain access to WEB AIM and Hit-Kit Databases at multiple public shipyards, downloading TWDs weekly.
  • Keep databases current to facilitate engineer access to TWDs and critical submarine availability information.
