Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our team at St. Pius X Catholic School. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young students and helping them develop a strong foundation in academics and faith.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Common Core and California State standards, as well as the Diocese of San Diego Religion Standards.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social growth and academic achievement.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners and provide regular feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians on student progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Possess a cleared California multiple subject teaching credential.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • Experience teaching in an elementary school classroom.
  • Positive professional references and recommendations.
Physical Demands

The Kindergarten Teacher must be able to spend the majority of the day standing in the classroom, frequently holding objects and demonstrating to students. The teacher must also be able to sit on an occasional basis when developing lesson plans, grading, etc.

The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the classroom and preschool environment, as well as maneuver throughout the school facility to attend meetings, trainings, and other work-related events.
