Key Responsibilities

  • Assess students' proficiency and conduct ongoing evaluation and prepare grade reports of student progress and maintain records of student course performance.

  • Advises students on college-related matters.
  • Designs and prepares curriculum of course-related materials.

Requirements
  • Specialized training/industry certifications, ASE Certified Master Medium-Heavy Truck Certification (T2-T8), and EPA 609 Technician Certification.
  • Six years of experience as a medium or heavy-duty truck technician.
  • Demonstrated competency in teaching the discipline.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar application.
  • Skilled in attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
Work Environment and Physical Demand

The successful candidate will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, install, or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. The candidate will also be required to reach and grasp objects, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl, stand for extended periods, use a video display terminal, and use manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
