Job Summary:

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a critical member of our perioperative team, providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care transitions
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Virginia Nursing License
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU, with previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
What We Offer:

Competitive hourly wage range of $58 to $63, with wages determined based on individual qualifications and experience.
