Funciones Principales:
Las responsabilidades del Consultor incluyen la identificación y tratamiento de necesidades de salud física y conductual coexistentes en el entorno médico, que abarcan:
• Evaluaciones y entrevistas diagnósticas.
• Desarrollo de habilidades de afrontamiento.
• Coordinación de atención con recursos internos y externos, con el objetivo de mejorar los resultados y reducir las barreras para que los pacientes accedan a los servicios de salud.

Requisitos:
• Licencia LLMSW para nivel I.
• Licencia de Trabajo Social (LMSW) o Licenciado en Consejería Profesional (LPC) según lo requiera el programa para nivel II.
• Se prefiere experiencia previa de dos años en evaluación y tratamiento de salud mental y/o abuso de sustancias, o una combinación equivalente de educación y experiencia.

Responsabilidades:
• Proporcionar intervenciones breves en un entorno de equipo integrado, evaluando las necesidades de salud conductual y trastornos por uso de sustancias de los clientes y refiriéndolos a tratamiento.
• Evaluar y diagnosticar la psicopatología de acuerdo con el Manual Diagnóstico y Estadístico (DSM).
• Utilizar métodos de Entrevista Motivacional, Planificación Breve y Terapia Cognitivo-Conductual (CBT) para abordar las necesidades de salud mental, uso de sustancias y atención médica física.
• Realizar referencias internas y externas según las necesidades del cliente, coordinando la atención entre proveedores y terapeutas.
• Colaborar con fuentes comunitarias, de referencia y de financiamiento para proporcionar los servicios necesarios.
• Participar en reuniones programadas y conferencias de casos con el equipo de tratamiento.
