Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with interventional procedures, including preparing equipment and maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Provide diagnostic aid by using fluoroscopic equipment to conduct scans on patients according to established practices and standards
  • Prepare equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain cleanliness of procedure room and work area
  • Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner, explaining procedures to patients and performing physical assessments
  • Assist radiologists in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously, and maintain sterile technique during procedures
  • Review scans for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist with ARRT
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Ability to perform interventional procedures and effectively communicate and manage within a service line environment
  • Two years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
