Job Title: Home Health Aide - PCA and/or HHA

We're seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team of home health aides in Queens, NY. As a home health aide with CareConnect, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our clients, enabling them to live safely and independently in their own homes.

Job Summary:

As a home health aide, you will provide personalized care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with mobility and transfers, administer medications as directed, and monitor vital signs. Your role will involve providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old
