Job Overview

The Facility Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in supporting the Facility Maintenance Team throughout the entire project lifecycle. Under the guidance of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring that maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. The mechanic will receive, execute, and finalize maintenance, repair, installation, and assembly work orders within designated time frames. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues that hinder the optimal operation of equipment, machinery, tools, and facility systems. The role also involves disassembling, adjusting, repairing, or replacing components and then reassembling the necessary equipment and systems. Regular inspections of equipment and facilities will be conducted in accordance with operational manuals and standard maintenance protocols. Participation in preventative maintenance and total preventative maintenance activities is expected as directed.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Foster effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values while meeting project expectations.
Management
  • Oversee process equipment maintenance and coordination procedures, from understanding O&M requirements to handing over equipment to the project owner/staff, ensuring operational readiness.
Scheduling
  • Organize and prioritize work schedules using PM system reports and work orders provided by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an active outdoor construction site environment.
  • Capability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and work in confined spaces near loud equipment.
  • Ability to traverse uneven and steep terrain.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and be exposed to dirt or dust.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment while on duty.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
