We are seeking a skilled and experienced ER Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our medical facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide emergency care to patients with various types of illnesses or trauma, utilizing your expertise to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Collect current symptoms, detailed patient history, and consult with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements, and manage basic life support needs.
- Record patients' current vital signs, work directly under physicians, and assist them during exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications, report adverse reactions, and maintain proper supplies and equipment.
- Initiate patient education plans, teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, and provide referrals to other healthcare professionals.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with current licensure in good standing.
- Minimum one year of recent hospital experience in the ER.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred.
