Laboratory Technician

At Entegris, we are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Analytical Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, analyzing samples, and reporting findings to laboratory management.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be working in a fast-paced laboratory environment, handling sensitive equipment, and collaborating with your team to maintain daily operations, optimize lab procedures, and produce reliable results. You will be responsible for:

• Assisting and conducting laboratory testing according to work instructions and reporting deviations and/or anomalies
• Organizing, storing, and disposing of all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety practices and protocols
• Recording all data and results in specified controlled forms legibly and correctly to ensure traceability and data defensibility
• Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and orderly environment (5S Guidelines)
• Supporting laboratory staff by maintaining glassware, logs, and record books in a fast-paced trace level laboratory
• Maintaining laboratory supplies inventory by placing orders, verifying receipt, and properly storing
• Documenting information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books
• Resolving problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps
• Completing projects by assisting the team and attending and participating in group and project meetings
• Expanding upon personal job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, special project teams, and reading technical publications
• Striving for operational excellence, collaboration, positive team morale, and continuous improvement

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience handling hazardous chemicals in a laboratory (Associate's Degree in a relevant field of study and/or cleanroom experience preferred)
• Be mechanically inclined and experience operating electrical and nonelectrical laboratory equipment
• General knowledge of quality systems and laboratory best practices
• Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, corrosives, and toxic compounds)
• Prior experience and dedication to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work well independently while possessing good teamworking skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization
• Strong dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
