FOR OUR STORES IN THE WASHINGTON, DC AREA AND SURROUNDING REGIONS.

Role Overview:
Loss Prevention Associates are tasked with safeguarding the company's retail assets by investigating incidents of asset loss, including merchandise, cash, and property. This position is essential in preventing loss and shrinkage within assigned locations through vigilant monitoring, investigation, surveillance, and other loss prevention strategies, including the apprehension of shoplifters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Identify and address both internal and external theft incidents.
  • Safety and Security: Serve as the primary contact for safety and security matters within assigned stores.
  • Store Inspections: Conduct daily store tours to identify issues and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Loss Prevention Strategies: Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to minimize merchandise losses.
  • Shrink Management: Review shrink reports and assist in addressing identified issues and opportunities in assigned locations.

Creating a Secure Shopping Environment:
Assist in the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs, ensuring a shopping environment that is safe from theft.

Ensuring a Safe Workplace:
Guarantee that stores are secure for employee safety against both internal and external theft.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required for travel across multiple stores.
  • Up to one year of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of applicable criminal laws in various jurisdictions.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all investigative information.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office.
