We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Care Assistant to join our team at Duke Health. As a Nursing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in patient education and teaching activities.
- Perform various non-clinical tasks, such as preparing patients for procedures and transporting them to different areas of the hospital.
- Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC-approved Nurse Aide I competency test.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Currently listed as a Nursing Assistant I (NA I) with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect, or misappropriation of property.
- BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation.
