Key Responsibilities- Perform quality patient care and mammographic imaging procedures, ensuring accurate anatomical orientation and proper file identification.
- Demonstrate competency in all mammographic procedures and equipment operation, maintaining quality standards and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Greet patients, obtain medical history, and enter information into our computer system, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Obtain mammographic images according to established guidelines, maintaining logs and processing paperwork for biopsies.
- Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Assist in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years, maintaining CPR certification.
- Provide coverage as needed, including instruction and mentoring to new hires, ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Maintain effective communication with radiologists, patients, and families, addressing any concerns or questions.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certification
- Digital Mammography certification
- Electronic medical records experience
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine
- 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist
- EPIC EMR experience
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds and place them in appropriate positions for equipment operation
- Correctable eyesight to 20/20 for equipment operation and film review
