Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant - Patient Care Specialist

Resilient Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team as a PRN home health partner. In this role, you will work closely with patients to help them achieve their optimal level of mobility and function.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Execution: Develop engaging exercise programs and activities to facilitate effective physical therapy sessions with patients.
  • Counseling and Consultation: Provide valuable guidance and support to new patients, their family members, and caregivers.
  • Patient Progression: Collaborate with physical therapists to set and track patient goals, identifying areas of progress and challenge.
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care according to individualized plans of care.
  • Pre-Session Preparation: Review patient files prior to appointments, ensuring a clear understanding of the challenges to be addressed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge within the field.
Requirements:
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Education: Associate degree in physical therapy or related field.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and patient privacy laws.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work primarily in a standing position and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Demeanor: Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Accountability: High level of accountability and attention to detail when handling and documenting sensitive medical information.
