Role Overview

As a Surgical Unit Leader, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritize tasks, and coordinate care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This role requires a strong understanding of the principles of growth and development over the life span, assess the data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the necessary information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each patient, prioritizing their needs and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to communicate effectively with patients and families, documenting patient information accurately.
  • Maintain current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) and BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
