As a Correctional Sergeant with the North Carolina State Government, you will play a critical role in maintaining facility security through regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Your responsibilities will include responding to emergency situations such as distress codes, escapes, and transportation of offenders. You will also supervise searches of offenders, offender living areas, and work areas for contraband. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.
