We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Cross Country Locums. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting, utilizing your expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive system issues.
About the Opportunity
This is a 1-year locum tenens opportunity offering flexibility in scheduling with either 5/8s or 4/10s options. You will be working in a multispecialty clinic environment, making a positive impact on the lives of patients in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Your contributions will be invaluable in ensuring seamless patient care and support.
Scope of Practice
Your primary responsibilities will include providing comprehensive outpatient care, from diagnosis to treatment, for patients with digestive system problems. This will involve conducting thorough evaluations, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed. Our electronic medical record (EMR) system is Medgen, which you will utilize efficiently and effectively in managing patient data and communication. Additionally, you will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in gastroenterology.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must possess:
- Active New York licensure as a nurse practitioner
- DEA certification
- BLS certification
- Medicare and NY Medicaid numbers required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and other relevant technology
