  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions
  • Define methods, processes, and evaluation criteria for verifying systems against requirements
  • Develop system design solutions that satisfy system requirements and fulfill functional analysis
  • Review and provide input to program and contract work breakdown structure, work packages, and integrated master plan
  • Participate in the development of systems engineering documentation
  • Participate in interface definition, design, and changes to configuration between affected groups and individuals
  • Derive lower-level requirements from higher-level allocated requirements
  • Participate in establishing and gaining approval of system or component definition
  • Develop derived requirements for information assurance services and security mechanisms
  • Implement comprehensive service-oriented architecture solutions
  • Implement operational view, technical standards view, and system and services view for architectures
  • Review and/or approve systems engineering documentation
  • Capture interface designs in a common interface control format
  • Assess risks to the program and determine probability of occurrence and quantified consequence of failure
  • Plan verification efforts of new and unproven designs
  • Establish a process to control and manage changes to requirements
  • Manage and ensure technical integrity of the system baseline
  • Support planning and test analysis of DoD certification/accreditation process
  • Support development and review of Joint Capability Integration Development System documents
  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of components
  • Develop scenarios and operational concept that describes interactions between the system, user, and environment
  • Conduct quantitative analysis in non-functional system performance areas
  • Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables
Requirements
  • Must possess a U.S government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum fourteen (14) years experience as a Systems Engineer supporting government programs and contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity
  • Experience in the legal or technical aspects of Intelligence Community Privacy Compliance required
  • Experience with MPO systems architecture
