Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technician to join our team at Franciscan Health. As an Echocardiography Technician, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests to help our medical team make informed decisions about patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests to assess cardiac function and structure
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, including transducers and ultrasound machines
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent
  • Record and analyze echocardiogram data, including measurements and images
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited echocardiography program with 800 clinical hours
  • 1 year of experience working as an echocardiography technician
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMEDSON) certification
  • Registry for Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS) certification
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
