Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inpatient Nursing Supervisor to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans, ensuring patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • 2 years of direct experience as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient setting.
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
