Key ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused respiratory care, adhering to departmental protocols and standards of practice. Key duties include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway conditions.
- Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen and aerosol treatments.
- Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
- Monitoring patient responses to therapies and intervening as necessary.
- Transporting patients who require ventilatory support.
- Responding to emergency situations to maintain airway integrity and ensure adequate ventilation.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 months of hire.
- State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field.
