About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Intake Support Specialist to join our team at The Salvation Army. In this critical position, you will provide essential support services to individuals entering our non-treatment program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Lead Intake Coordinator to ensure accurate data entry and timely submission of intake items.
  2. Conduct daily phone screenings and schedule intakes for potential participants.
  3. Monitor daily chores and bed checks, reporting any issues to the Lead Intake Coordinator.
  4. Collaborate with case managers to assign and transfer files to participants.
  5. Ensure that all incoming participants are enrolled into the HMIS system within 24 hours of entering the program.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with special needs, low-income, and/or homeless populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing speed of 45 wpm.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
