Disease Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Disease Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Service. As a key member of our Community Health & Research Center, you will play a critical role in preventing and controlling the spread of infectious diseases in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and follow up on individuals diagnosed with infectious targeted diseases or at risk of infection.
- Provide education, counseling, and assistance to the community on disease prevention and control.
- Perform venipuncture and blood withdrawals to identify and intervene in the spread of communicable diseases.
- Notify and communicate test results, provide referrals and resources for treatment, and offer prevention education.
- Document all testing encounters, including consent, releases of information, screening for risk factors, and disease pre and post-test counseling.
- Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in public health or a related field.
- Certified Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant or Registered Nurse preferred.
- Ability to maintain professional conduct, interact effectively with colleagues and clients, and work in a team environment.
