Job Summary

This position is responsible for facilitating the financial clearance process within Patient Access Services at West Tennessee Healthcare, creating a positive first impression for patients and families. The successful candidate will be able to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring patients understand their financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain accurate records in accordance with department guidelines.
  • Manage daily work queues to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Correspond with patients and families to obtain necessary information for registration and financial clearance.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assign billing addresses in the automated patient accounting system.
  • Ensure proper referrals and treatment authorizations are obtained for all patient types.
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding financial assistance options and eligibility.
  • Investigate and resolve patient problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare or related experience preferred.
