Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as necessary.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty.
- One or more years of experience as an RN, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- A current Nurse Practitioner license and DEA license, as required by state regulations.
