Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Rush University, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care through the use of advanced imaging technologies. Your expertise in ultrasound technology will enable you to create diagnostic sonographs that meet the highest standards of the profession.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide patient-focused care that supports a welcoming and supportive environment.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Understand and follow departmental protocols and procedures in the performance of exams.
Identify and flag abnormalities.
Produce work in an efficient manner that meets departmental productivity standards.
Requirements:
Formal training in an accredited Ultrasound Program.
Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment.
Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology, and physiology.
Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Demands:
Requires full range body motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary.
Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
