Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Gastroenterology department. As an LPN float, you will provide administrative and clinical support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and patients, fielding phone calls, referring physicians, and communicating lab results and patient education.
  • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, interact directly with patients, and complete clinical tasks such as vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and administration of medication vaccines and allergy shots.
  • Document patient information in Epic and provide nursing care under supervision for patients according to established standards and practices.
  • Assist with setting up for procedures, assist with procedures, and direct patient flow.
  • Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans with other members of the patient care team.
  • Answer phone calls, screen and route calls, and provide information in accordance with Division policy.
  • Provide assistance in the day-to-day administration of physician practices and arrange and coordinate meetings as requested.
Requirements
  • Graduate of LPN program.
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location or received within 3 months from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required and must be obtained within one month of employment.
