Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Position for Innovative Projects

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering contractor to join our team at Presco Engineering.

Our company specializes in designing and developing innovative electronic products, including bio-medical electronics, scientific instruments, drop-on-demand printers, power conversion systems, high power lasers, and handheld spectrometers.

This is an exciting opportunity for bright, highly motivated individuals who are eager to learn new skills and take on challenging projects that require following engineering standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks, incorporating sheet metal, molded, machined, and cast parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate the performance of mechanical, optomechanical, and electromechanical systems through design and testing, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.
  • Develop and implement testing methods to confirm system and product capabilities, providing detailed documentation of findings.
  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components with efficiency and precision.
  • FOLLOW ENGINEERING STANDARDS AND BEST PRACTICES TO SUPPORT PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY RESULTS.
  • Implement assigned tasks in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Provide detailed engineering documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
Requirements

Candidates should have a bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field and strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
