Veterinary Specialist

CareVet Health is a leading network of veterinary hospitals committed to delivering exceptional care for pets and their owners. We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team at Hutchinson Pet Hospital in Hutchinson, MN.

We offer a competitive $150k bonus package, six-figure base salary, plus production, paid parental leave, student loan support, and schedule flexibility. Our hospital is a full-service companion animal practice that has been serving the local community for 35 years, with state-of-the-art equipment and a skilled team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
• Treat and dress wounds
• Perform surgery on animals
• Test for and vaccinate against diseases
• Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
• Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
• Prescribe medication
• Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high-quality care

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
• Licensure in the state/s where you will be working
• The ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
• Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
• The ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
• Strong fondness and understanding of animals
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of animal behavior
• The ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research, and surgery of animals
