**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Lennox International Inc. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for selecting and negotiating with approved vendors and placing purchase orders in response to product requirements established by various departments within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Bids and Negotiate with Suppliers: Evaluate bids from approved vendors and negotiate price, contract terms, quality, and service to ensure the best value for the company.
- Expedite Orders and Resolve Issues: Expedite orders with suppliers to meet production schedules and negotiate and settle with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, and losses.
- Conduct Supplier Site Visits: Conduct site visits to evaluate suppliers' production capability, performance, and delivery.
- Manage Procurement Processes: Develop and implement procurement processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience in procurement or a related field.
- Skills: Intermediate knowledge of procurement concepts and approaches, including purchasing for lean manufacturing, Kanban, and supplier development. Strong negotiation abilities and above-average analytical skills.
- Software Skills: Competent in computerized procurement systems and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
