Job Title: Maintenance Technician

ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly facilities, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for monitoring, repairing, and maintaining various types of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as general facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and repair HVAC systems to ensure safe and efficient facility operation.
  • Monitor HVAC system status, identify potential problems, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance repairs, alterations, and routine operations on facility systems.
  • Record and log all work performed, complete work orders, and compile required reports in a timely manner.
  • Respond to routine, precautionary, and emergency alarms from building automation and life safety systems.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and supplies, prepare requisition forms for purchases, and pick up supplies and materials from vendors.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and assist with snow removal as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. or vocational training and at least five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess knowledge of methods, principles, and practices required for HVAC system operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Properly use all tools, equipment, and methodology for HVAC equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Have good working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and commercial kitchen equipment (gas, electrical, and mechanical).
  • Have basic working knowledge of electrical and plumbing to assist Maintenance Manager as needed.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and other related materials.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management, and emergency procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 30-hour OSHA certification
  • Experience with building automated systems
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System or ability to learn
Physical Demands:

This position requires moderate lifting, at least 75 pounds, and/or strenuous working conditions. Involves walking on ice, bending, stooping, climbing (inclusive of ladders), and working at a catwalk height. Will be required to utilize protective equipment as needed for specific tasks.

This position requires work both inside and outside the facility and will have some exposure to adverse weather conditions. Will require exposure to hot, cold, and high-noise work environments.

Other Qualifications:

Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be available to work events as needed.
