Job Opportunity: Maintenance Worker at The Osborn

Job Summary:

The Osborn is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our Facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency of our physical plant equipment, ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and operate physical plant equipment, maintaining accurate logs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and handle service requests efficiently.
  • Assist in inspections and testing of Life Safety equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance service requests and communicate progress effectively.
  • Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Support co-workers with various duties as needed.
  • Maximize building efficiency and comfort in heating and cooling operations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong math skills for accurate measurements and problem-solving.
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Customer service-oriented, with professionalism towards residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry 10-100 lbs, and push/pull carts up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, and move around the building for extended periods
