We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Professional to join our team as an Advanced Practice Nurse. This is a full-time position that requires a Master of Science in Nursing and 2-3 years of experience.
About the RoleThe Advanced Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing medical or surgical services to patients, collecting and documenting data, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering and scheduling necessary studies and professional consultations, and providing direct patient care services including prescribing medications and other therapies as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Practice within the advanced specialty and role appropriate to your advanced educational preparation.
- Act independently and/or in collaboration with the healthcare team to observe, assess, diagnose, intervene, evaluate, rehabilitate, care, counsel, and teach persons who are ill, injured, or experiencing changes in normal health processes.
- Utilize mechanisms that provide authority for medical aspects of care, such as protocols or written authorization.
- Assess and manage patient health problems, including actual and potential conditions, within the hospital, clinic, or outpatient setting.
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention/health promotion issues of the population in practice while administering quality patient care.
- Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare treatments.
- Obtain history and physical examinations on patients of all appropriate age groups per scope of practice.
- Assess and interpret laboratory and radiological findings.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to individualize patient care to manage illnesses, promote well-being, and foster rehabilitative/disease preventive lifestyle choices.
- Prescribe medications and supportive therapies to help maintain health.
- Perform advanced procedures as verified and approved per credentialing committee.
- Educate patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications.
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- 2-3 years of experience preferred.
- APRN License in state of employment.
- RN License in state of employment or compact.
- BLS certification.
This is a full-time position working 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
