Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Outpatient Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting ultrasound examinations, assisting radiologists with procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment for examinations
  • Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and vascular ultrasound procedures
  • Recognize and record anatomy and pathology using sonographic equipment
  • Care for sonography equipment and report any issues
  • Write reports based on scan results and completion
  • Alert medical staff to any abnormalities requiring immediate attention
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program
  • 1 year scanning experience preferred
  • RDMS certification within 1 year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Vascular certification preferred
Work Schedule:

24 hours per week, with flexibility to float to other OPI centers as needed
