Position Summary

As a key member of the T.D. Williamson finance division, you will play a crucial role in accurately documenting project revenues and expenditures. This role encompasses responsibilities for recording transactions associated with service centers, conducting monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and ensuring thorough reviews for completeness, alongside significant participation in external audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Service Center Managers to analyze monthly financials and job statuses, including margin assessments.
  • Engage with Project Managers to review monthly activities against project budgets.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including both routine and one-time entries.
  • Produce standard recurring and ad-hoc supplementary reports related to financial statements, such as monitoring and reporting on jobs and financial outcomes.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts across multiple entities.
  • Identify areas for enhancement in operational and financial performance.
  • Participate in the global annual audit, providing explanations for consolidated and segment variances.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and local legal regulations.
  • Contribute to special projects as necessary.
  • Support external audits in areas related to service accounting and other relevant fields.
  • Lead initiatives to standardize reporting and financial reviews with Service Center Managers as needed.
  • Calculate, accrue, and manage customer rebates in accordance with relevant contracts.
  • Accrue and coordinate with payroll to ensure timely payment of sales commissions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Over 7 years of experience in Financial and Project Accounting.
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to comprehend overall business operations and conduct analytical reviews.
  • Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and lead discussions with business partners.
  • Proficient in reporting and consolidation software, as well as Microsoft Office, particularly advanced spreadsheet applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as AX or WSGP is required.
