We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Care Specialist to join our team at New Roots Institute. As a Neonatologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive care to high-risk neonates and newborns.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide direct care to NICU-Pediatric patients, utilizing your expertise in neonatal medicine to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat newborns with various medical problems.
  3. Participate in night, weekend, and on-call duties, demonstrating a commitment to providing 24/7 care.
  4. Coordinate nursing activities before and after rounds to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  5. Perform various medical procedures to ensure the health and growth of infants.
  6. Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and NNPs, fostering a culture of education and professional development.
  7. Continuously seek new ways to improve processes and outcomes, driving excellence in patient care.

Requirements

  1. Accredited medical school graduate and board-certified in Pediatrics.
  2. Board-certified/eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  3. Current license to practice medicine in the state of New York.
  4. Desire to work in a high-volume NICU and maintain medical staff privileges.
  5. Familiarity with competency-based residency training curriculum.
  6. Credentialed or eligible for the NY Medicaid program and managed care organizations.
