Position Summary
The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team, engaging with fellow employees and management to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate semi-trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
  • Communicate any issues to management promptly.
  • Conduct thorough pre/post trip inspections in compliance with DOT standards.
  • Follow all applicable laws and dispatch instructions.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle mileage logs.
  • Monitor vehicle gauges during operation.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, which may involve manual handling.
  • Ensure product quality is upheld during transport.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and report major issues to the Foreman.
  • Keep the truck clean and organized.
  • Foster a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
  • Maintain constant communication with team members during operations.
  • Train less experienced drivers on safe operation and maintenance practices.
  • Perform general labor tasks as needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
  • At least 18 years of age.

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in the construction or transportation industry is advantageous.
