Central Processing/Phlebotomy Technician Part-Time Night Shift

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician/Central Processing professional to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Phlebotomy Technician/Central Processing, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients of all ages, accurately identifying them and transporting specimens to the laboratory for testing.
- Perform manual tasks involved in registering, ordering, labeling, processing, and distributing specimens for laboratory testing.
- Utilize relevant computer programs to perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Serve as the central communication point for all incoming requests, ensuring the quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
