Travel Nurse RN Telemetry Position

Aureus Medical Group - Nursing is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN Travel Nurse to join their team in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

This is a great opportunity for a Telemetry RN to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of discharges and admissions. The ideal candidate will be able to read strips, work well in a team environment, and be comfortable with patients who have post-heart caths, TR bands, CHF, COPD, and arrhythmias.
The unit is a 43-bed Cardiac Tele unit with 9-10 private rooms. The average ratio is 1:5, but can flex up to 1:6. The unit has a central monitor station and RNs are expected to be able to read strips. The charge nurse is available 24/7 and is responsible for admissions and discharges.
Requirements- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
- Ability to read strips and work well in a team environment
- Comfortable with patients who have post-heart caths, TR bands, CHF, COPD, and arrhythmias
Additional Information
The unit is used to having new grads and is willing to teach. Teamwork is a huge part of this unit, and everyone is always helping each other. The unit has a high volume of discharges and admissions, and RNs are expected to be able to do their own admissions and discharges.
