Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our Supply Chain Solutions division, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Plan and review logistics processes to ensure that they meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize shift/team logistics.
  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure that their needs are met and that all operations are running smoothly.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss progress, provide coaching and feedback, and recognize individual and team successes.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Perform performance evaluations and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases as necessary.
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes.
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees.
  • Implement health and safety initiatives, practices, and behaviors, and adhere to company rules and policies.
  • Provide orientation and training to new employees, ensuring that they have the necessary information, technology, and materials to perform their jobs effectively.
Requirements:
  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred.
  • 0 to One (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
