About the Position

The University of Georgia is seeking a Relief Pharmacist to provide coverage in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Pharmacy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for filling and approving prescriptions, as well as providing guidance to clinical and technical staff regarding the effects of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Filling prescriptions for patients
  • Signing off on prescription formulations
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians on duty
  • Counseling clinicians, clients, and technical staff on prescribed medications
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree or PharmD in Pharmacy and a current State of Georgia license. Experience with veterinary prescriptions for both large and small animals is preferred.

Working Conditions

This is a temporary hourly position with a 0.49 FTE. The successful candidate will be required to work on Monday and/or Friday and on-call hours during weekends or holidays.
