Job SummaryMerrill Manufacturing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assembly Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves assembling small components and subassemblies according to detailed instructions and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, speed, and adherence to production goals. Their contribution will significantly impact the workplace atmosphere and contribute to our organization's overall success.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble small components and subassemblies following detailed work instructions
- Use hand tools and equipment to fasten parts together
- Inspect assembled products for defects and quality assurance
- Apply proper labeling to finished products and various incoming materials
- Keep assembled products at their required inventory levels
- Put away raw materials to their stocking locations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
- Contribute to team goals and a positive work environment
- Assist in daily inventory transactions consisting of pick, pack, and ship for ecommerce
- Communicate effectively with the Small Assembly Lead and Warehouse Supervisor
- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment or general inventory and assembly knowledge is preferred
- Experience operating a forklift is a plus, but not required
- Basic hand tool proficiency
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate a computer scanner successfully or willing to learn
- Pay attention to detail
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually
- General passion for creative problem-solving
This position requires constant indoor work. Occasional noise levels may occur.
