Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Insurance Defense Trial Attorney to join our team in California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional legal representation to our clients in all cases assigned by your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide job-related guidance, supervision, and training to other attorneys.
  • Perform managerial and administrative tasks, and special assignments, as requested by your supervisor.
  • Keep your supervisor informed of the work being done for clients and of any and all problems encountered.
  • Consult with and render opinions to members of the Claims Department regarding insurance policy questions and questions concerning the legal aspects of the handling of personal injury claims.
  • Supervise cases as assigned and handle cases with unique legal or procedural issues and/or involving severe to catastrophic injuries and/or damages.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs; attend hearings, conferences, interviews, and trials or arbitrations.
  • Functionally supervise attorneys who have been requested to assist the Senior Trial Attorney.
  • Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems for assigned caseloads.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Law school degree, and member in good standing of the State Bar in the state in which position is located.
  • At least three years as an Attorney including civil jury trial experience or equivalent dispositive ADR experience or comparable outside experience.
