About the Job
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in preparing and operating CT equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images. Your expertise and professionalism will help ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess patient-specific data and provide appropriate care. You will be responsible for:
• Preparing CT equipment by conducting warm-up, calibration, and quality control procedures according to manufacturer's guidelines.
• Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Confirming CT orders are correct and consulting with Radiologists for any outstanding questions or concerns regarding an exam.
• Performing venipuncture and Point of Care (POC) testing for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
• Coordinating all patient exams with orders, patient screening forms, EHR, and patient's care team when applicable.
• Delivering patient care under the scope of license/training, demonstrating professionalism towards patients, their families, and staff always.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A graduate degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or related field.
• A current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• The ability to adapt to changing pace within the department, with frequent interruptions.
• Knowledge of anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiation physics, radiographic positioning, and radiographic equipment.
• Computer skills for effective patient care and communication.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately, location of emergency code procedures and equipment.
