Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Category Leader to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of materials and services for one or more categories, including machined parts, raw materials, and plastics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to capture and address sourcing requirements
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to manage category spend and supply risks
  • Lead supplier development process by evaluating suppliers' performance and facilitating improvements
  • Analyze category spend and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Report metrics and corrective actions progress against category targets
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (with MBA preferred)
  • 10 years sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment, A&D industry segment a plus
  • 5+ years' experience sourcing machined parts with a working knowledge of machine shop capabilities
  • Knowledge of raw materials, various metals alloys, bar stock, forgings & castings and various plastics
  • Strong understanding of category and supply chain concepts, practices and procedures
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and ERP experience
