Wellbore Integrity Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing new downhole components and sustaining existing tools for our oilfield services sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Design and develop new downhole components or sustain existing tools according to project specifications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed engineering designs.
  • 3D Modeling: Create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in Creo for manufacturing and assembly purposes.
  • Design Calculations: Conducting design calculations and analyses to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed solutions.
  • FEA Experience: Experience in performing FEA is a plus.
  • Design Reviews: Conduct design reviews and provide technical support to resolve design-related issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain proper documentation of design changes, revisions, and project updates.
  • Lab and Field Testing: Create lab and field test plans and reports as required.
  • Project Management: Efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology or associate's degree with proven technical experience in design analysis, calculations, conducting lab tests in an oil field environment may be considered.
  • Oil & Gas Experience: Oil & Gas experience is essential.
  • Design Experience: Minimum 3 years of design experience, preferably in oil field tools.
  • Creo Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Creo is required.
  • Drafting Standards: Strong knowledge of drafting standards.
  • GD&T: Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Design Engineering Knowledge: Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and practices of design engineering.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
