Cage Cashier

Golden Nugget Danville is seeking a skilled Cage Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our casino operations, you will be responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank, and check bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Deliver exceptional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Responsible for the impress bank issued.
• Perform guest and in-house monetary transactions.
• Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage, and Hotel employees.
• Enter patron transactions into the company computer system accurately.
• Prepare paperwork, balance sheets, and documents in accordance with our Standards and Procedures and within the guidelines of Internal Controls.
• Transfer cash, chips, and checks between cages and/or departments in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures to maintain integrity of the Cage operation.
• Comply with Federal Title 31 procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Safeguard the confidential information of all employees, department, and company records.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
• Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of cash handling experience is required.
• Six (6) months of casino cage cashier experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license.
• Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours.
