About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team at Amergis Educational Staffing in Kingston, MA. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in providing educational and behavioral services to children with special needs.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and experience working with students on a 1:1 basis. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing behavior management techniques, providing crisis intervention, reviewing and implementing behavior intervention plans, and conducting ABA-specific therapeutic services under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

You will also be responsible for assisting in facilitating academic instruction, documenting sessions according to policies and procedures, collecting and interpreting behavioral and academic data, and strictly adhering to confidentiality requirements. Additionally, you will support students in developing independent daily living skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines, and personal hygiene.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of relevant experience. You should also have one year of pediatric experience and an associate's degree in behavioral studies or a related field. Strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals are essential.
