Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for taking x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Diagnostic Procedures: Perform plain films, fluoro, portables, and OR exams, as well as plain films and Bone Density scans.
  • Patient Care and Education: Explain procedures to patients, provide educational materials, and ensure patient understanding.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Contrast Media and Medications: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly functioning, report potential problems, and lock/tag out equipment if necessary.
  • Department Maintenance: Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a radiology certification program.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) and ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Work Environment

This is a PRN / Per Diem Shift position, working in a fast-paced imaging department. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
