Job Summary:
Shawmut Services is seeking a highly motivated and organized Canvass Manager to lead our door-to-door canvassing operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of canvassers, as well as implementing and adjusting the training program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project leadership to implement a successful door-to-door canvassing operation.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers, including pre-packet briefings, virtual office hours, and post-packet debriefings.
- Work with the project's Training Director to implement, adjust, and improve the training program.
- Be willing and able to work extended hours, with the expectation of 6-day, 60-hour weeks from mid-January through early March, including evenings and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Access to a strong internet connection, reliable computer, and a cell phone.
- Strong desire to help turn out Democratic voters.
- Working knowledge of VoteBuilder and MiniVAN preferred.
- Prior volunteer or paid canvasser management is a bonus.
